If you type that into the search bar you may be surprised, or you may not. Facebook is number one and Youtube is number two , unless you turn off the adult content filter. Then you really see what folks are focussed on. Pornhub is number one. Facebook is number two and Youtube is number 6! I knew electronic porn was big, I just didn’t realize how big. If you’re looking for keywords to draw traffic, you gotta get dirty. With all the scorching temperatures and wildfires you’d guess global warming would be on the top keyboard search in the recent past….didn’t even make the list of top 500! Just that I typed the word Pornhub may have impacts on lives. Who will go there out of curiosity? Will they ever come back? I’ve never been and never will. Video games, soap operas, facebook, and porn all fall into that same place as drugs and gambling, risky. I avoided angry birds, wouldn’t even look at it until I was laid up this week…..it’s so dangerous. I’m resisting the urge to go back. I like the feeling of smashing the boxes and decimating the monkeys…I don’t want to be a failure. At one point I wanted to write a blog “facebook ate my life”. From the looks of top keyword searches I guess it ate a lot of lives and is continuing its ravenous growth. Even the stock is looking up after its first stumble. It’s concerning to see how much human energy is tied up in self-indulgence. Imagine the potential of that much energy. How did we get so willing to give away our power to electronic entertainment? This is probably not what you were looking for when you typed in your keyword search and stumbled upon this blog. Perhaps you are exactly where you were supposed to go and just didn’t know it. Nice to meet you, this is my first blog on wordpress. Perhaps we’ll meet again.

Lol – who knew! I’d start adding one porn word to my tags on my posts, but already get enough “junk” spam comments – can only imagine what might happen. You’ll have to let us know about that.
Re Facebook, I agree in general, yet I like being able to check on what friends around the world are up to. I do get some inspiration from it (now that I’ve largely culled the “this is what I ate for breakfast” people). It’s strange that electronics are so addicting. Is that mechanical/chemical or are we all missing something we need and it somehow fills the slot?
Enjoyed this first post … Food for thought! Cheers!
Thanks for your comment! I also enjoy the Facebook connection and inspiration, but find myself spending more time on it than I plan to….there is just so much interesting information out there! I think it is very seductive to have others respond to us electronically. I think it does fill some slot, maybe the longing to be heard, valued, and asknowledged space. It’s not as scarey as putting ourselves out there face to face and we can do it at home in our pj’s
. My concern is the possible risk in replacing our face to face time with screen time.
